ThePenCentral Submissions General Guidelines

General Guidelines for TPC Article Submissions

  • Articles must be the original work of the submitting writer.  Articles cannot have been previously posted or published anywhere on the Internet.

 

  • Articles can be on any subject listed in ThePenCentral’s Category List.

 

  • Article Submissions must contain a minimum of 1000 words and may be accompanied by photographs and/or video.  Photo essays need not be 1000 words to qualify.

 

  • Article submissions must be the original creation of the submitting writer.  Articles are checked for plagiarism.  Plagiarism will not be tolerated—offenders will be banned from TPC.

 

  • Articles may not be pornographic in nature.  Language used may not be profane and must be acceptable for reading by a widespread audience of all ages.

 

  • Photos and videos that accompany articles must be the writer’s own work or the writer must have permission to use the photo or video and credit, (and/or link) must be given to the photo/video originator.

 

  • Articles must not be an advertisement in nature.  The exception is, members may write about their own business and link to their own website as long as the linked website is not a sales-oriented site.  Writers may link to their own website, but articles with promotional links will not be eligible for any of TPC’s ad revenue-sharing programs.

 

  • Writers who wish to promote their book, EBook or other written work, may email editor@thepencentral.com and TPC will place a link for the author to the point of sale.  TPC is dedicated to assisting authors in a promotional manner.  TPC’s affiliate link will be used to link to point of sale.

 

  • TPC articles must adhere to the highest writing standards.  Articles must be checked for spelling and typos before being submitted for publication.  TPC Editors retain the right to make corrections or to reject any article for rewrite.  TPC Editors retain the right to reject any article for any reason, as stated in the Membership Agreement

 

 

 

Guidelines for TPC Reviews

 

  • Reviews must be original and never-before published.  Reviews cannot have been previously posted or published anywhere on the Internet. 

 

 

  • Review submissions must be the original creation of the submitting writer.  Reviews are checked for plagiarism.  Plagiarism will not be tolerated—offenders will be banned from TPC.

 

  • Reviews may not be pornographic in nature.  Language used may not be profane and must be acceptable for reading by a widespread audience of all ages.

Flash Fiction(FF) & Linked FF Guidelines

 

  • Flash Fiction must be original and never-before published.  Flash Fiction cannot have been previously posted or published anywhere on the Internet. Flash Fiction is a story, written in a format of 1000 words or less.

 

  • Linked Flash Fiction is a linked series of stories, each being 1000 words or less.

 

  • Flash Fiction submissions must be the original creation of the submitting writer.  FF submissions are checked for plagiarism.  Plagiarism will not be tolerated—offenders will be banned from TPC.

 

  • FF may not be pornographic in nature.  Language used may not be profane and must be acceptable for reading by a widespread audience of all ages.

 

  • Photos and videos that accompany FF must be the writer’s own work or the writer must have permission to use the photo or video and credit, (and/or link) must be given to the photo/video.

 

  •  Flash Fiction must be checked for spelling and typos before being submitted for publication.
